OH MY GOODNESS. These bars. No seriously, theeeeeseeeee bars. I to start with created these back in 2015 and lately baked them up once more after I had an powerful craving for fig newtons.

Whilst I notice that Fig Newtons is made up of actual figs, I could not obtain any at the retailer so I settled with dates, a different favorite dried fruit. Superior outdated dates — low cost, addicting and normally there to help save the day.

My preferred way to delight in dates currently has been by spreading almond or peanut butter all over them. Can you say YUMMMMM?

Anyway, relocating away from my date obsession and on to these ridiculously delicious ooey-gooey day bars.

An additional perk to these day bars? They are gluten totally free and vegan. Since that is what all people always asks me for when it will come to recipes these times so allow me just say that I know earn at desserts for absolutely everyone. WINK.

Ingredients in date bars

My favourite element of these bars is how wholesome they are. The substances on their own are whole grain, gluten free of charge, whole of healthy fat and packed with diet.

The base and top of the bars: produced up of oat flour, oats, organic brown sugar, coconut oil (or normal or vegan butter), vanilla and a minor salt. The bars are incredibly crunchy on the base for a solid foundation that doesn’t fall apart. How to store these date oat bars

  1. In the fridge: Keep these bars lined in the fridge for up to 1 7 days. When you are all set to consume them, just permit them appear to space temp for about 5 minutes so that they soften a bit.
  2. In the freezer: sure, you can freeze these gluten absolutely free day bars! Area them in the freezer for up to 2 months in an airtight container.
